Like every other human on this planet, I feel sadly disconnected from everyone else. Why? There is no natural reason, so I will simply say "society." However, I am a lover of music and sound, and I have yet to meet someone who doesn't in some way connect to music. Everyone has a song. I believe that whatever music or song that we love most at whatever time is somehow reflecting us, whether its our mood, our heart, or (what I like to think) the rhythm of our soul. Personally, my soul must be as indecisive as my little sisters are when picking school outfits in the morning, because my song changes sometimes with each passing moment. However, in my mission to collect songs from strangers, I feel gratified that I am also collecting a reflection of their soul at the exact moment that we met. Even more so, I feel honored that, by sharing their song, I now get to keep this picture of their soul, frozen at the time that we met, with me forever.
If this sounds like a lot of fluff to you, and it very well might be, you may call this my attempt to bring a species originally meant for connection and relationship but separated beyond belief... a little closer together.
